Will the Bulls win a title again?

With the Lakers, Celtics, and the Pistons winning titles since their 80s heydays ended and the 76ers are in contention as is the Milwaukee Bucks who didn't win a title in the 1980s but when to the Conference Finals three of the four seasons between 1982 to 1986, just couldn't get pass the Sixers nor the Celtics. If they still Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, they probably would have and maybe won some titles. However, the Bulls haven't won an NBA title since Michael Jordan left. It's been 22 years and counting. They had some good seasons after Jordan including a trip to the Eastern Conference Finals in the 2010-11 season where they lost to Lebron's Miami Heat in five games. Let's face it, it was going to be a long fall from grace rather they waited to another season or started with the rebuilt after the 1997-98 season or bring back half of the team like said if they were able to keep Phil, Michael, and possibly Dennis. Either way it was going to happen like what happened to the Edmonton Oilers of the 1980s and early 1990s where half that team it seemed was an All-Star team including their Great One Wayne Gretzky. The big difference was it was a gradual decline and they won a cup without Gretzky. Also, they went to a Stanley Cup after those teams were disbanded (they lost to the Carolina Hurricanes in the 2006 Stanley Cup). There was going to be a fall and it was quick and a long drop and that's happened in the 1998-99 season (well 1999 season because of the lockout the league didn't start until 1999) where the team was stripped nearly bare except for Toni Kukoc, Ron Harper, and Randy Brown and Jerry Krause's boy Tim Floyd was the head coach. The team was predictably the worst team in the league that season and for the next five seasons. They had the high draft picks. Some were good like Elton Brand, Ron Artest, and Eddy Curry but were traded away by their fifth season (Brand and Artest by their third seasons), bad like Marcus Fizer (to the Bulls: STOP GETTING GUYS FROM IOWA STATE, COACHES AND PLAYERS), and some decide to be fucking idiots and get in a motorcycle (which was against his contract) and get into an accident like Jay Williams which ended his NBA career after his rookie year. What's up with Duke players and vehicle accidents? Bobby Hurley was seriously injured in a car accident in his rookie year and he didn't wear a seatbelt. Isn't Duke supposed to be a smartypants school? Again wear your seatbelts. After Krause retired, former Bulls Point Guard John Paxson took over as General Manager and led them along with head coach (and another former point guard) Scott Skiles to the first playoffs season after Jordan in the 2004-05 season. A first-round loss to the Washington Wizards, Ok not much but it's a start. In Skiles's third full season, they went to the second round losing to the Detroit Pistons, that team again. However, when the Bulls struggle in the 2007-08 season in 25 games, Skiles was fired. That bad season ended up landing them the first overall pick which they use on Derrick Rose who was a hometown guy. They had back to back 41-41 seasons with another former guard Vinny Del Negro which were also playoff seasons but the Bulls decided to make a change and fired Del Negro by Gar Formar the new General Manager replacing Paxson who was promoted to Vice President of Basketball Operations. Then came Tom Thibodeau who was the most successful Bulls Head Coach after Phil Jackson left. He led them to five straight playoff appearances including in his first season in 2010-11 where he took them to the Eastern Conference Finals the closest they've been after Jordan. Who knows want those Bulls could have been if Derrick Rose didn't have injury problems after the 2012 playoffs. They probably would have that a rivalry with the Miami Heat and later on with the Cleveland Cavaliers when Lebron James went back to Cleveland. Despite a successful tenure, things between Thibodeau and management were bad. After a second-round exit, Thibodeau was fired and not learning from the Tim Floyd tenure, the Bulls hired another coach from Iowa State (and former Bulls player) Fred Hoiberg. Unlike Floyd, Hoiberg had some success in his first two seasons making the playoffs in his second season but after that the Bulls went back to the bottom and Hoiberg was fired during the 2018-19 season and current head coach Jim Boylen took over. They had a chance to get Zion Williamson in the 2019 NBA Draft but they along with the New York Knicks, Cavs, Phoenix Suns, among other teams lost out to the New Orleans Pelicans who had a lesser chance to get the first pick than the Bulls. It seems like the Bulls best chance to get another title is through the draft like the first Three-peat team (Michael, Scottie, BJ Armstrong, and Horace) because it's unlikely they will get a big-name free agent player for a number of reasons. Kevin Garnett said it was because of the poor treatment the Bulls gave Jordan. Plus Chicago isn't New York or Los Angeles or even Miami. Also, Jerry Reinsdorf is cheap otherwise the Dynasty were would have another year or two if he wasn't. Krause was a part of the reason of the Bulls breaking up especially telling Phil even if you win all 82 games you're gone but I still put Reinsdorf ahead of him of being the most responsible. Plus Krause was more patient with Phil than Paxson and Forman with Thibodeau though Krause did fired Doug Collins after Collins led them to the Eastern Conference Finals against the Bad Boy Pistons. Also, the Bulls shook up the Front Office firing Forman and reassigning Paxson to another role. Honestly, I give them a few years in a best-case scenario especially since depending on how good (or bad) the new Front Office people are. They would need to land a few good players in the draft and maybe a trade or two. Despite all of this, I don't think Jerry Reinsdorf is a bad owner. It's hard to argue with past success and again it was only a few years ago that the Bulls were a playoff-caliber team. I think he's the middle of the pack now there are worst owners including well Michael Jordan with the Hornets. Hey, I'll back him on his baseball tenure, I'll back him on his Wizards playing days (not so much as his executive days) but I won't defend his executive/owner tenure just like I won't defend him not backing Gantt on the 1996 race (not 1990). He ended his friendship with Barkley because Chuck trashed on his executive decision in 2012. Really dude? This there a chance that Jordan and the Charlotte Hornets can turn it around. Yes, but for right now Reinsdorf is a better owner than he is and Krause was a better executive than he is and yes I went there. Heck, I don't see free agent deciding to play for MJ. I wonder which team would win the title first The Bulls or the Hornets? Also, for the record, there are worse owners than MJ.
